Place: Tell Basta
Tell Basta is an Egyptain style villa set on an island. High walls surround the place with only one entrance in or out. Inside the plain high walls encompassing the island, it looks almost like an oasis in the middle of a desert. Sand is everywhere, but there are date palms, peach, apricot, fig and olive trees everywhere providing shade. In the center of the island, there is a grand reflective pool in the center just before one can enter into the main temple, which is more a modern Egyptian mansion than a temple. There are four bedrooms and five baths, an entrance hall, formal and casual living and dining rooms, along with a modern kitchen.
One will notice all the artwork and statues are either cats, suns, a combination of the two, or one or the other will be featured less prominently in otherwise normal artwork. And if one looks closely enough or listens hard enough, stray cats can be found throughout the entire island. Incense is kept burning at all times in nearly every public room despite the doors and windows being open throughout the day.
