Name: Hinata Hyuuga
Canon: Naruto
Canon Point: End of Chapter 614
Age: 16
History: http://naruto.wikia.com/wiki/Hinata_Hy%C5%ABga , history up to the middle of The Fourth Shinobi War: Climax.
Personality: At her core Hinata is a shy, kind, and soft-spoken young woman. These are the first traits anyone would notice about her. For a while in her life, she believed these to be traits that hindered her as her family believed these to be traits unfit for a ninja and their heiress. She endured many years hearing such unkind words about how she acted and how soft-hearted she was, yet she could never divorce herself from these traits. Because of that, she grew up lacking confidence in anything she did, said or thought until she became a member of Team Eight.
It was through the gentle encouragement of Kurenai, Kiba and Shino that she began to rebuild her confidence. Though, for a while, she depended heavily upon them to save her from anything she found uncomfortable or didn't like. At some point, likely when Naruto left the village to train for three years, she decided to change herself again. This time, she worked hard to be someone who could stand on her own and not need to be rescued from everything little hardship she faced.
Though, for a while, she did almost go down a dark path and seek power and self-change in unsavory ways. What they were was never elaborated on, even though she does admit to it during her confession to Naruto. Said person is also the one who kept her from going down those dark paths though he never knew it. Mainly because she was–and still is–a shy person who doesn't have much confidence in herself, even more so when she was younger when she first saw Naruto. He was also someone who was hated, who others looked down upon, and was also seen as a failure. Yet he never ran away from his problems and cried like she did; instead he tried harder and worked even harder to prove them wrong.
It was admiration at first sight for her. Though she wasn't as loud or as bold as him, she still did her best to emulate him. He embodied "potential" and "self-confidence" to her, qualities she wanted for herself. So she trained every day, at first by herself, then with her team, and eventually her father and cousin. Often even training after those training sessions because she isn't one to be dissuaded from her goals. Her main goal is, at its core, to be worthy: as a ninja, as an heiress, and as someone capable of walking side-by-side with Naruto. If there's another thing Hinata has always shown as being, it's stubborn. She'll keep working at those goals until she's achieved them. She spent years believing herself a failure, but as of the Fourth Shinobi War, she doesn't anymore. Even her father acknowledges her as an equal to Neji, her cousin and (at times) her protector.
As proof of this and of how much she's grown, she's grown strong enough to save both Neji and Naruto, both from enemies and themselves. She did so using what many had considered weakness: kindness. Her empathetic nature allowed her to see Neji's suffering and she finally spoke up about it and stood up to him, finally facing a confrontational situation, even though she knew it would upset him enough to attack her even more furiously. She did the same for Naruto, giving him pep talks whenever he seemed down to her. Then she saved both again, watching their backs during the war, and didn't even hesitate to jump to their aid as the younger her may have done. While she is still prone to criticism enough that it can stall her from a course of action, as Kou's warning that she would be a burden trying to protect Naruto, it doesn't stop her from doing it anymore as she did still jump to Naruto's aid and finally overcome her biggest hurdle in confessing to him: herself and her own doubt.
Because of her previous lack of confidence in herself, she stammers over her words, especially if it's a new person or situation or she's deeply embarrassed, and she even keeps her true thoughts to herself. Inside she may be shouting for joy, yet all she will do is smile politely. She may hate someone, but she will never say it. This also leaves her sometimes unable to tell others no, and she is easily walked over or taken advantage of. This is also because Hinata hates confrontation, in any form. She even hates being confronted about hating confrontation. This is one of the few areas where she will still run away, unless it's to defend a loved one. If it's not to defend someone, then she will do all she can to avoid any type of confrontational situation.
Abilities: Kekkai Genkai→ Byakugan (Lit. White Eye)
The byakugan allows its user to "see through everything" and easily understand the principles behind chakra circulation and use. It can see straight through immediate objects, anything situated remotely ahead/behind/sideways, and through a body to its "acupuncture network" through which chakra circulates, along with the apertures that are used to release chakra from the body: the "chakra openings". With this sight, one can collapse the chakra network of an opponent and render them incapable of using any chakra. The byakugan also grants its user near three-hundred-and-sixty degree vision—it has a small blind spot on the back of the user's neck just above the third thoracic vertebra. Hinata has been shown to have developed her byakugan to the point of being able to see around ten (10) km (around 6 miles) in one direction.
Martial Arts→ Jyūkenhō (Lit. Gentle Fist Style)
Jyūkenhō is an internal, or gentle, martial art as opposed to an external, or hard, martial art style. The difference being that the Hard Style is one that focuses on directly damaging an opponent: breaking bones, causing external injuries; while a Gentle or Soft Style focuses on upsetting an opponent's center of balance, tossing them to the ground, causing internal injuries.
In the case of Jyūkenhō when coupled with the Byakugan, it allows for a practitioner to completely shut down their opponent's chakra network and even kill them with the barest of touches.
→Jūho Sōshiken (Lit. Gentle Step Twin Lion Fists)
This is apparently a high-level secret Main Branch Jyūkenhō attack. Using chakra she has released through the palms, Hinata molds it into a large lion-shaped shroud around each hand and through spherical attacks thrusts it toward an opponent. Whenever it touches an opponent, it drains them of their chakra, eventually rendering them unable to attack.
→Hakke Rokujūyon Shō (Lit. Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms)
This is a secret Main Branch Jyūkenhō attack that Hinata has learned and mastered by the Fourth Shinobi War. It is the main attack upon with Jūho Sōshiken is based. When their Byakugan is activated, the user envisions an Eight Trigrams Circle and, if an enemy is within this circle, the user proceeds to strike them sixty-four times completely shutting down their chakra network.
→Hakke Kūhekishō (Lit. Eight Trigrams Vacuum Wall Palm)
This is a joint attack where two Byakugan users standing side-by-side both attack using Hakke Kūshō (Lit. Eight Trigrams Vacuum Palm) to create a forceful wave of chakra capable of sending multiple opponents flying back.
Chakra→ In the world of Naruto, this is what is necessary to use any techniques other than taijutsu. Through kneading the physical and mental energy contained in the body's 130,000,000,000,000 cells (or so) into chakra, and then converting it into jutsu through the use of hand seals. Only when done correctly can one use jutsu, or even to enhance physical abilities.
Every ninja, in Konoha at least, has the same set of basic skills granted through chakra use:
Adhesion/Repelling→ Through constant concentration and coating of chakra along the soles of the feet (or palms of the hand, or through any part of the body), a ninja can "stick" themselves to a solid surface like a tree, wall, or ceiling. Alternatively by expelling chakra through any part of the body, they can create enough force to stand on top of non-solid surfaces, such as bodies of water. This allows Hinata to tree-, wall-, ceiling-, and water-walk.
Henge no Jutsu/Transformation Technique→ A basic jutsu that allows the user to transform themselves or another into the appearance of another person, object or animal.
Bushin no Jutsu/Clone Technique→ A basic jutsu that creates an intangible copy of the user; the clones are usually illusions and will dissipate when touched, and the byakugan and sharingan can see through them.
Kawarimi no Jutsu/Body Replacement Technique→ A basic jutsu that allows the user to quickly replace their body with another object within reach the moment an attack hits.
Hinata is a trained tracker. She's a member of a team specifically designed for tracking. While she likely does rely heavily upon her Byakugan to perform her duties as a tracker or scout, she likely knows a few commonplace things about tracking normally. Such as how to read trails left behind, and how to anticipate where someone might be heading.
Strengths: Kindness, empathy, internal/external sight, forgiving, protective
Weaknesses: Shy, insecure, power-seeking, stubborn, awkward
God/Shinki: God
Why?: Hinata has a natural kindness and understanding of everyone and believes them to be equal; even when she was the heiress of her clan, she never abused her position and disliked it for how it factored into how her cousins treated her. She knows the value of a life and has worked hard to make sure no one would ever have to die for or protect her again, so being put in that position again and unable to do much about it would cause her to look at her morals and realize that sometimes, it’s not always bad to have someone who can do her work for her. Perhaps she would even over-compensate her shinki to make up for anything that she might make them do.
Top 3 Choices: 1. Bast, Goddess of Protection and Perfume (Egyptian mythos)
2. Ishara, Goddess of Oaths (Hittite mythos)
3. Idunn, Goddess of Apples and Eternal Youth (Norse mythos)
God Type: Hinata would do her best to fulfill the roles of whatever her previous incarnation may have been, though she would end up shying away from anything that may need punishment being dealt. But she would also try to do even better—a side-effect of being both stubborn and always striving to do and be better. She would take on prayers of people needing protection, healing from sickness, inner strength, familial love, or anything that can tug at her heartstrings enough to get her to step in.
Power: Fragrance manipulation. As Hinata already has a couple of canon abilities that could be considered “God” abilities/powers, I chose this one as it’s similar enough to what she can already do with chakra, but different as she’s never been able to influence emotions in such a way and with fragrances that are nearby. It does also fit in with, definitely, one God pick and with the main prayers she would be answering. Hinata hates confrontation, so anyway that she can end a confrontation or help someone without having to resort to violence—that’s always a plus in her book.

Anything Else?: Totally willing, if need be, for her to have a power nerf involving chakra and/or her Byakugan. I do realize both could really be considered “God” powers/abilities in their own rights, and so I am more than willing to have them nerfed to keep a more even playing field.
